Our Regular Monthly Activities

Walking Group Get-together.
An active group that enjoys local walks that are between 4 and 6 kilometres. 
Held each Friday morning, meeting at various local locations
where our walk begins at 9.30am and finishes at approximately 12.00pm quite often stopping for a coffee or ending with a lunch.

Various walk options are available to us commencing from the likes of:
> South through Puckey’s Estate, and enjoy coffee and a chat at Lagoon’s Café afterwards.
> North on the shared pathway to Corrimal beach, and enjoy coffee and a chat at the Bowling Club Café afterwards.
> Hop on the free bus to the Botanical Gardens for a discovery walk through the gardens and lagoon areas, and enjoy a BYO morning tea and a chat afterwards.

Guest Speakers.
Each month at our meeting we have a Guest Speaker.  Our Guest Speakers are from all walks of life. They can bring to us some very interesting stories, information that is both relevant and informative, and they entertain us

Lunch after our Meetings.
After each monthly meeting we all meet for lunch at the local RSL Club and enjoy the club’s lunch specials with the obligatory wine or beer. A great way to enjoy lunch in good company and at a set price. 

Special Dining.
This includes our regular Club’s Annual Birthday Luncheon, Christmas in July Luncheon, Melbourne Cup Luncheon and Annual Christmas Luncheon.  Our Outings Officer also surprises us with organised special lunches at the Scarborough Pub, Gerroa Boat Fisho’s Club and the Headlands Hotel at Austinmer, Mount Kembla Pub, Camden Valley Inn.

Theatre/Entertainment.
Matinee theatre parties at the Lyric Theatre, Capitol Theatre and the Opera House. Also shows at Illawarra Performing Arts and Arcadian Theatre Group. All our theatre groups are daytime matinees.

Coach and Train Outings.
Our members have enjoyed a day’s outing to various interesting destinations including the Premier’s Gala Concert in Darling Harbour, Nepean Belle Lunch Cruise, Sans Souci Lunch Cruise, Port Hacking Lunch Cruise, Nan Tien Temple, HARS Museum, Wollongong Botanical Gardens, Train/Ferry trips to Watson’s Bay for a seafood lunch at Doyle’s, Coolangatta Winery Tour, Penrith’s Museum of Fire, Auburn Botanic Gardens during its Cherry Blossom Time.

Tours and Holidays.
Well costed, good value 3-4 days tours offer us the opportunity to travel within Australia with people we know.  Blue Mountains, Hunter Valley Gardens Xmas Lights, Mudgee and Surrounds, The Life of Riley Alpine Tour and Postman’s Run, Hawkesbury River, Broken Hill, Hunter region are just a few of our Australian tours recently undertaken.
